The Nightlife Guide

Where the valley
goes after dark.

Restaurants, bars, live music, and cocktail lounges from Lake Country to Osoyoos. Every entry rated four stars or better. All the places worth the drive — and we're the ones who'll drive you.

Lake Country Kelowna West Kelowna Peachland Summerland Penticton Naramata Okanagan Falls Oliver Osoyoos

The Okanagan doesn't stop when the wineries close. It moves downtown, to the patios, to the barrel-lit cocktail rooms, and to the corner tables where the chefs still cook by hand.

This is the guide to that other half of the day. Every place here has a real reputation — four stars or better on Google, no exceptions. Some are winery restaurants that stay open into the evening. Some are downtown standbys that have been here for decades. Some are new. All of them are worth the drive.

And when you're done — we'll take you home safe.

Lake Country

Quiet dinners. Slow drives home.

Lake Country's dining scene is small but sincere — mostly winery restaurants, a few good cafés, and one or two spots worth the trip up from Kelowna. This is where you eat when you want quiet views over Kalamalka and Wood Lake and a shorter wine list from the people who actually made the wines.

Most of Lake Country's after-hours action lives inside its wineries — Ex Nihilo, Gray Monk, and 50th Parallel all pour late in summer. For a full night out, most people drift south to Kelowna.

Kelowna

Where the valley eats out.

Kelowna's downtown Bernard Avenue and the waterfront are the valley's dining hub — chef-driven rooms, historic steakhouses, izakayas, blues bars, and speakeasies all within a few blocks. The city has traded its old pub-and-wings reputation for a scene worth flying in for.

This section is the biggest for a reason. From white-tablecloth restaurants to blues bars that have been running since the nineties, Kelowna does every kind of night — and it's where most of our late calls end up.

Winery restaurants with the big views.

West Kelowna is where the wine country restaurants sit above the lake. Mission Hill, Quails' Gate, and Mt. Boucherie all have serious dining rooms with the kind of views that make you forget to talk.
